Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the fell 0.27%, while the index fell 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:), which rose 2.32% or 0.57 points to trade at 25.10 at the close. Meanwhile, TotalEnergies SE (EPA:) added 1.41% or 0.82 points to end at 58.89 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:) was up 1.06% or 1.35 points to 129.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Renault SA (EPA:), which fell 6.25% or 2.34 points to trade at 35.00 at the close. Worldline SA (EPA:) declined 2.19% or 0.66 points to end at 29.42 and Carrefour SA (EPA:) was down 2.18% or 0.38 points to 17.29.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were ID Logistics SAS (EPA:) which rose 5.82% to 254.50, Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:) which was up 3.72% to settle at 29.00 and Technip Energies BV (EPA:) which gained 2.95% to close at 22.00.
The worst performers were Renault SA (EPA:) which was down 6.25% to 35.00 in late trade, Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:) which lost 4.94% to settle at 2.81 and Orpea SA (EPA:) which was down 2.82% to 1.67 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 291 to 231 and 97 ended unchanged.
Shares in Worldline SA (EPA:) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.19% or 0.66 to 29.42. Shares in Orpea SA (EPA:) fell to all time lows; down 2.82% or 0.05 to 1.67.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.08% or 1.55 to $1,964.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.19% or 1.83 to hit $85.46 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.81% or 1.57 to trade at $88.40 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 104.16.
